Governor Mead has said, “This year we will again have speakers who can put our efforts in Wyoming in a global perspective.”
"Our children and grandchildren are going to be able to push a button and operate driver-less cars, and they won't give it, nor any of the other advances in Big Data, AI or the Internet of Things a second thought."

Past speakers at the event have included historian and Pulitzer Prize winner David McCullough, Herb Meyer, Vice Chairman of the CIA’s National Intelligence Council; Kevin Parker, Columbine survivor and Washington State Representative; Colin Marshall, President and CEO of Cloud Peak Energy.
Uldrich says he is flattered to be speaking at the event. He recently delivered a presentation on the future of cities and planning in Glendora, CA and the American Planning Association and will touch on similar topics for the event in Wyoming today.
"Innovation is happening at an ever increasing pace," says Uldrich. "Technologies like GPS and self-driving cars, 3D Printing and genomic sequencing are getting better, faster, and more affordable. Which means things that once seemed fifty or more years away may now be only a be a few short years away.
Uldrich cites the example of elevators--which once required trained, dedicated operators but are now operable by anyone. He says the same will be true for the trajectory of cars as well as several other technologies. “Our children and grandchildren are going to be able to push a button and operate driver-less cars, and they won’t give it, nor any of the other advances in Big Data, AI or the Internet of Things, a second thought.”
When Uldrich speaks he likes actively seeks to shake up his audiences assumptions and encourage innovation and contemplation regarding the days ahead.
Following his keynote for the Wyoming Heritage Society, Uldrich will head to Washington DC to speak to Tech Mahindra.
